R&R Airport Van Service - SXSW Preferred
New for 2012: R&R will be providing a shared van service from the Austin airport to addresses in Austin during SXSW. Book online at least 24 hours prior to your flight arrival time to receive the discount. After you are scheduled online you can change an existing reservation via phone (512) 947-7433, but you need to make their original reservation online to receive the discount. Capital Metro Airport Flyer – Airport Bus Service
A quick 20-minute ride and $1 in exact change will deliver you downtown on the Airport Flyer. Buses leave the airport every 30 minutes on the hour and half-hour, seven days a week. Service within a couple blocks of the Austin Convention Center and more than 16 hotels downtown including: Hilton Downtown, Hilton Garden Inn, Omni, Driskill, InterContinental, Doubletree Guest Suites, and AT&T Conference Center. Board outside baggage claim on the lower level, second lane at the far right.

Capital Metro – Citywide Public Transportation System
Capital Metro, Austin’s public transportation provider is inexpensive, reliable, and provides good coverage to most of the city. The CapMetro #3 Route has stops at (or near) all Film Fest venues. Capital Metro’s #7 Route passes close to Auditorium Shores and hotels South of the River. Use the online trip planner to find the fastest route from Point A to Point B.

For local registrants and those staying at hotels in Northwest Austin, the Metro Rail offers one option to get downtown on weekdays and Saturdays during SXSW.
