Block Party

The SXSW Block Party is modeled after a traditional pub crawl. Instead of bars, SXSW Registrants move between participating exhibitors for complementary refreshments and great networking.

Hours: From 4:00pm to 6:00pm on Tuesday 3/13.

SXsaloon

SXsaloon is the perfect place to get a drink and meet friends, plan your schedule, and refresh for another round of trade show fun. Host impromptu meetings, mingle or catch up with old friends at this centrally located bar. SXsaloon also plays host to a Trade Show Happy Hour at 4pm on Monday and Wednesday.

Hours: Monday 3/12 through Wednesday 3/14 11am-6pm, Thursday 3/15 11am–4pm

Next Stage

Take a break from your busy schedule of panels, parties and booth perusing to enjoy a show at the Next Stage. Located within the dynamic SXSW Trade Show, Next Stage is the destination for entertainment on the first floor. Much like a variety show, this stage hosts panelists, filmmakers, comedians, and musicians to bring you a sample of all that is happening during SXSWeek. Catch a hot band without braving the crowds, learn something unexpected, get a laugh at a benevolent overlord… it's all happening in The Exhibition for the Creative Industries.

Hours: Monday 3/12 from 11am-6pm, Tuesday 3/13 – Wednesday 3/14 from 12pm-6pm, and Thursday 3/15 from 12pm–4pm.

Meet Up Pavilion

Networking and communication are core concepts of SXSW, and meeting the industry people that matter brings many of you to Austin every year. To play matchmaker, SXSW created a dedicated meeting space in the business epicenter of SXSW, the Trade Show Meet Up Pavilion. Join other registrants for a casual Meet Up- make friends, make connections, and build relationships that will last beyond SXSWeek.

Hours: Monday 3/12 – Wednesday 3/14, at 12:00pm, 1:30pm, 3:00pm and 4:30pm. Thursday 3/15 at 12:00pm, 1:30pm, and 3:00pm.

The Gallery at the Trade Show Meet Up Pavilion

NEW for 2012 SXSW is highlighting Austin's local art scene in the Trade Show Meet Up Pavilion. A full gallery of work by Austin artists is installed in the Pavilion. Stop in anytime the Trade Show is open to enjoy the art and attend the reception Tuesday, March 13 from 1:30 to 2:30 to meet the makers themselves.
